It's
once again time of the year when enthusiasts look forward
to our colourful "South Africa Chinese Dragon Boat Festival", the
heated but friendly competition will be held at Florida Lake,
Roodepoort, Johannesburg over the weekend of
2nd &
3rd of May.
Dragon Boat Racing receives
high remarks, as a team sport it
contributes towards the increase of group bond and
promotes team spirit thus bringing positive attitude into every aspect of your life.
The Festival is
also ones of the very few winter events where
families can enjoy the fun in the sun and
watch full action performed by competing teams from all historical
backgrounds, highlighting cultural blending in our Rainbow Nation.
Gauteng Dragon Boat Association
(GDBA), the Organiser of the event takes
pleasure to invite all organizations (or group of friends) to participate in the festival,

南非是多種族人民組成的國家，素來享有“彩虹國度”的美譽，“南非彩虹盃龍舟邀請賽”是由“南非豪登龍舟協會”在每年端午節期間舉辦的大型龍舟賽會及遊園會活動，南非是海外華僑發展龍舟運動最成功的典範之一，參加兩天賽期的中外選手人數超過800人。
南非彩虹盃龍舟邀請賽於1999年發祥於南非的約翰尼斯堡市，至今型態未曾改變，其宗旨為團結隊員、奮勇向上、發揚文化、促進交流。彩虹盃的順利舉行，說明南非華僑熱愛中華文化，並願在異國他鄉持續發
揚。
“彩虹盃”的意義何在？為鼓勵華僑團體積極參與文化傳播，除比賽獲得一、二、三名的隊伍予以敘獎外，另根據隊伍的參與力度，評出團隊精神總錦標並頒發“彩虹盃”一座，作為
