Gauteng Dragon Boat Association proudly introduces its new website, this
is one of the first marketing initiatives taken by the association since
its founding in 2000.
As dragon boat racing becomes more popular then ever, the association
believes it is imperative to keep stakeholders updated with the
development of the sport and upcoming events, this will gradually see a
more formalized dragon boat racing as a sport within the inhabitation of
culture, unity and fun.
Pedigree
The successful development of dragon boat racing in Gauteng and South
Africa as a whole owes a lot to our pioneers, who have contributed and
sacrificed a great deal to take the sport off the ground, most of these
founding advocators are still among us; today, we are proud to see that
the younger generation is taking the sport to a new high. After all, this
is how dragon boat racing lived for 2 300 years!
Keep up the good work! May the dragon breathe fire and smoke on your
paddles, heating them up for the hot competition to come! - Lionel Benham,
founding Chairman of Gauteng Dragon Boat Association More updates to
